Local residents aren’t the only ones excited about The Brick House’s dramatic transformation. Maureen Mole from Wyckoff Magazine had this to say in the May 2008 issue:
“The Brick House offers patrons a larger-than-life experience . . . .
“The porterhouse steak is a standout and seafood is another specialty with star dishes . . .”
“This extraordinary new venue for elaborate entertaining or casual unwinding with friends and family is a welcome addition to the northwest Bergen County social landscape.”
From “Better Living” section of The Record, May 11, 2008
Bill Pitcher, food editor of The Record, Bergen County’s daily newspaper, called The Brick House “about 23,000 square feet of luxury. . . . .” and said “. . . the casual bar . . . looks more like an exclusive club, with lots of polished wood, dark furniture, a huge fireplace and curved bar fashioned from . . . blue granite.”
Of the stately main dining room, he noted, “The carpeting is plush, yielding to your steps. The tables feature crisp linens and armchairs. Gallery-quality artwork hangs from the walls.”
